Department of Veterinary Biosciences
and Veterinary Public Health was established according to the primary
mission of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Chiang Mai University
with aim to offer courses focusing on veterinary bioscience and veterinary
public health that designed to provide students with a strong understanding
of the key elements that underpin all modern biological sciences, with
a major focus on the biology of health and disease in animals. Including
research that responds to the national development plan, delivering effective
extension services to communities and regions, promoting and preserving
arts and culture, and other related veterinary missions. It consists of
3 units: Pre-clinical clinic, Para-clinical clinic, and Veterinary Public
Health.
Pre-clinical Clinic : in Veterinary Medicine Offers courses
related to a basic veterinary anatomical structures, histology, and physiology.
Para-clinical Clinic : in Veterinary Medicine Offers
courses related to veterinary pathology, parasitology, and microbiology
including other related areas.
Veterinary Public Health : Offers courses oriented on
applying veterinary profession knowledge and skill to create a better
health prevention and protection, and promote health and livelihoods of
people, especially the prevention and controlling zoonotic deceases, food
safety, and other related veterinary tasks.
